Käväisin Lahden reissullani viemässä muutaman laukun äsköttäin avattuun Autiotalo-nimiseen second hand -liikkeeseen! Jatkossa liikkeestä tulee näillä näkymin löytymään lisääkin tuotoksiani, mutta siitä enemmän myöhemmin. Autiotalo löytyy Lahdesta osoitteesta Rautatienkatu 4 (auki ti-pe 10-17, la 10-14) ja netistä osoitteesta www.autiotalo.com.

Nämä viisi ainutlaatuista, lähes täysin kierrätysmateriaaleista valmistettua laukkua (Heluna, Tarina, Suklaati, Ruksi ja Laivué) löytyvät nyt liikkeen ihanien second hand -löytöjen seurasta:

These five unique bags (called Heluna, Tarina, Suklaati, Ruksi ja Laivué) are now available at Autiotalo second hand store (Lahti, Finland). Autiotalo is open tue-fri 10-17 and sat 10-14.

Waves Will Calm Down

A.k.a. the new smashing look of spats.

Created from recycled materials and handcrafted in Finland, of course.

Viivi Vein has designed and created an unique collection where old meats new.

Second hand picked

charming anchor buttons,

edgy plastic coated fabrics,

sweet satin laces,

gorgeus pleathers,

and pretty strings

create a modern wholeness,

whom details has a dash of old time's charm.

The collection is inspired by impulsive storms and glimps of light on a sea,

and also always as fascinating second hand materials finds and those combinations.

Renewed form of the spats tempts you to striking dressing up,

also offering cover to your feet, on all seasons.

The dull looking but the most comfortable heels

are easy to modify as individual eye catchers with spats.

Every 15 pairs on the collection is it's own one-off wholeness,

but also made-to-order custom spats from variable materials are available, fitted to customer's measures.

The Tough Class Gal

The first glimpse of Viivi Vein clothing.

TTCG is a women's cloth and accessory collection,
which was a part of my bachelor's thesis in the spring 2009.

I graduated as a clothes designer.
This collection is almost entirely made of recycled materials, of course!

My ideology / Ajatusmaailmani

All my products are handcrafted in Finland.

I've made all by myself, except few things on the bachelor's thesis collection*.

So my production is definitely cruelty-free, if spanking myself mentally doesn't count.

My work basis is utilizing recycled materials,

both ecological and ethical as also esthetic and atmospheric reasons.

At the moment I aim to purchasing new materials only when it's necessery.

I rather try to figure out a another solution instead of purchasing new materials.

Challenging but fun!

Recycled materials' uniqueness fascinate me,

because materials finds aren't usually very big.

Vision waking materials are always top finds which make me excited.

I find it delighful if my product's earlier use has been totally something else,

as on table mats ended up to bags (e.g. on the TTCG collection).

When I say that I've made something almost entirely from recycled materials,
I really mean that there is a very small amount of new materials!
E.g. sewing threads or a zipper.
I also prefer including a list of recycled materials I used to the product infos.

If I use any animal based materials,

like leather, wool or silk,

it's always recycled.

I'm a finnish quality production appreciative,

certain subculture insipired and excuisite second hand materials collecting

clothes designer graduated in the spring 2009.

My work is lead by the desire to thrill with my own kind of style

without forgetting the aim to respect humans, animals and nature.

Shortly, my inspiration comes from recycled materials and details of life.

This thing is based on my interests, not on fashion.
On my opion, some stuff, shapes, colours ja atmospheres,
will always be cool what ever time or trend it is.

After all, the keywords are combining, modifying and renewing.

At the moment I'm doing this thing as a hobby,
making things that inspire me.
Laidbacked and fair.
